Mary Curcio received an AAS degree form Jefferson Community College, a BS in Secondary Education Mathematics from SUNY Oswego, a Master’s in Math Education from Syracuse University and a CAS degree to be a school administrator from SUNY Oswego.
Currently Mary is the 6-12 principal at the Harrisville Central School District. In her tenure as a principal and high school mathematics teacher, Mary has provided staff development at 13 schools in Jefferson and Lewis counties. As a math specialist she has provided peer coaching, curriculum development, alignment, mapping, and data analysis in many schools.
In working with teachers, her specialty has been in mentoring new teachers, writing parallel assessments, examining effective learning, differentiated instruction, distributed practice and more. Currently her focus is improving the learning for troubled boys, how to build a master vocabulary list for any district, RTI for math, Synthetic Phonics and Social-Emotional Learning for students.
